The government is preparing to announce a travel ban from Brazil and a number of other south american countries, according to reports this lunchtime.
Sky News have said that Whitehall sources have confirmed that an announcement is due shortly amid concerns of a new variant of COVID-19 that is sweeping across the South American country.
