There are reports of an explosion at a COVID-19 testing centre in the Netherlands this morning. The blast occurred at a centre in a town called Bovenkarspel, north of Amsterdam and an investigation has been launched.

The blast is believed to have caused damaged to windows and to the building, but no casualties have been reported.

It is unknown at present whether this was a deliberate act, but reports state that police are looking at the possibility that the testing centre was deliberately targeted with a bomb.
