Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced a four week delay to the further release of Coronavirus restrictions, due to concerns over the Delta variant.
However, one exception will be weddings where the current limit of 30 guests will be lifted from the 21st June.
This is due to significant increases in cases and hospitalisations in England.
The Prime Minister says that by Monday 19th July, the government is aiming to have double dosed over two thirds of the adult population in the UK.
The Prime Minister confirmed that over 40s will only have to wait eight weeks rather than 12 weeks for their second jab and 23-24-year-olds will start to be offered a vaccine from tomorrow.
Unfortunately Boris Johnson says that we simply haven’t met the four tests required for the relaxation of restrictions on 21st June.
