Prime Minister Boris Johnson has confirmed that the following measures will be put into place following an increase in cases of COVID-19 as a result of the Omicron variant.
- From Monday 13th December, you should work from home if you can.
- From Friday 10th December, you will be required to wear a mask in cinemas and theatres and in most indoor settings.
- COVID-19 passports will be required for nightclubs and large events in England from next week.
A total of 568 cases have been found in the UK, with concerns that it is spreading much faster than the Delta variant.
