BREAKING | Birmingham New Street Station evacuated due to security concerns - Herefordshire’s Independent Source of News & Information

Birmingham New Street Station has been evacuated this afternoon following security concerns.

We are aware of reports of a suspicious item at New Street Station in Birmingham.

Ambulance crews are working with colleagues from @WMPolice @BTPBhm and @WestMidsFire

The station has been evacuated as a precaution while the item is assessed.

All passengers have been advised to get as far away from the station as possible.

Trains travelling towards Hereford and Ledbury are therefore cancelled / delayed for the time being and passengers are advised to wait for further updates on the situation.
