A man has been charged with murder after a man was found dead in Hereford on Saturday (18 January).
Officers were called to an address in Brierley Court in Hereford at around 3.40pm.
A 54-year-old man was found with injuries and sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Mathew Jonathan, aged 39, of no fixed abode, has today (Thursday 23 January) been charged with murder.
Jonathan has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Kidderminster Magistrates Court tomorrow (Friday 24 January).
The family of a man who was found dead in Hereford have paid tribute to a much-loved son, brother, uncle and friend.
On Saturday (18 January) officers attended an address on Brierley Court in Hereford and sadly 54-year-old Jamie Gawler was pronounced deceased at the scene.
In a statement his family said: “Jamie was a true gentleman and a very much-loved son, brother, uncle and friend. The family are devastated by his passing and will remember him as the kind, generous and funny man he was.â
