From Beer on the Wye:

(NOT QUITE) BEER ON THE WYE: HEREFORD NEW DATES 23-25 JULY 2021

It was a major disappointment to have to cancel Beer on the Wye for the second year running this year. About now we should have been on the cusp of our annual jamboree of beer, cider and perry down by the river – but Covid put pay to that.

However, many of you will be pleased to know that we’re not just sitting back and doing nothing. We have organised an Ale & Cider Trail based on Hereford, whereby a number of city pubs will be offering unusual beers, ciders and perries over and above their more usual offerings. Called ‘Not Quite Beer on the Wye’, we have already received great feedback and Hereford City Council have very kindly sponsored the initiative.

Originally, it was due to run over the weekend that would have hosted the festival, but (Covid strikes again!) the Government’s announced delay to full opening-up has forced us to re-date the event to the 23-25 July. However, we are very confident that there’ll still be a lot of interest, and we hope you’ll support it too.

It’s certainly a great way for Herefordshire CAMRA to help the city’s pubs and give something back. Nearer to the time there will be a programme published and distributed – which will list all the participating venues.

So watch this space and we’ll keep you updated as we go.
