A Hereford toilet block could be given a new lease of life, after Herefordshire Council decided to give a award a lease for the building.

Herefordshire Council documents shared this week state the following:

The Widemarsh public convenience has been closed for a number of years.

Fallen into disrepair the toilet block attracts vandals and graffiti, making the area look run down.

Offered on Hereford council property page gave any interested parties the opportunity for ask for information.

The Lease has been offered to the tenant that accepted the draft heads of terms without amending.

Proposed use will be of future benefit and accessable to the youth of Herefordshire.

The decision taken by Herefordshire Council is as follows:

To grant lease for the use of the Widemarsh Public Conveneince and the subsequent planning application for change of use to café to provide work experience for youths.

The property was advertised on Hereford Council property pages, three interested parties were given the opportunity to agree terms. The most favourable party was chosen to be offered the lease.
