A café in Symonds Yat that was devastated during the floods of February 2020 is set to reopen in time for the summer.

IzzysCafe, based at Symonds Yat West have been busy sharing updates on their progress on their Facebook page and things are really coming together now, with a licensing application submitted to Herefordshire Council for sales of alcohol and for live and recorded music to be played.

An update on IzzysCafe Facebook page in February said:

“Here we are then, almost a year after taking in 3ft of Storm Dennis flood water, which came halfway up the walls and ruined everything in sight (and on site) work has begun on rebuilding IzzysCafe. It will be ready for when we’re eventually allowed to open.”
