A planning application has been submitted for the Rotherwas Angel sculpture to be installed in Hereford.

The application, submitted by Rotherwas Together, is for the sculpture to be located on the corner of Skylon View and Beech Lane in Hereford.

Thousands of men and women worked at ROF Rotherwas during, and between the two world wars.

The Rotherwas Angel sculpture was created by Hereford College of Art to honour their work.

After being displayed at the city’s skatepark, it was kindly donated to the Rotherwas Together community group by Hereford City Council.

The land has been donated by the Goodwin family and the plinth has been donated by QuickSkip, a local business owned by the Lively family.

Local architect and project supporter Oliver Steel has donated his time to provide the planning drawings.

The sculpture will be to honour all of the men and women who worked at ROF Rotherwas.
