From St Michael’s Hospice:
St Michael’s Hospice is delighted to have been chosen by Ian Rivers to be one of the charities that will benefit from his unsupported solo row across the North Atlantic from New York to the Scilly Isles.
Using only a sextant as the main form of navigation, this 3,100 nautical mile crossing will test human endurance, navigation and seamanship to the absolute limit. Nobody has yet completed an unsupported solo from New York.
Everyone here at St Michael’s wishes Ian ‘fair winds and following seas’ and hopes he returns home safely after his three-month record-breaking voyage. To find out more about this epic adventure, click https://rowsentinel.com
