A Herefordshire pub will reopen its doors today after a Ross-on-Wye family took over the lease with the aim of bringing great food, beer and a place for the community to be proud of.

The Mill Race at Walford, near Ross-on-Wye will open its doors at 5pm today with a wide variety of fabulous food on the menu, all of which is prepared by Ashley in the kitchen and supplied by local suppliers from Herefordshire, Gloucestershire and South Wales.

The location couldn’t be better. Just a few miles south of the market town of Ross-on-Wye and in close proximity to the Forest of Dean, this pub/restaurant really does have it all. Oh and we forgot to mention, you can even see Goodrich Castle from the outside courtyard!

From the minute you walk in, you can tell that Ashley, Gosia & Sofia have made it home and you can see the passion and emotion that they have put in to making this a community hub for the small village of Walford and beyond.

The pub is dog friendly, the food reasonably priced and they have plans to build a children’s play area out the back, so that families can enjoy a drink and the children can have some fun.

They have plenty of plans for themed nights and judging by our first impressions, these are sure to be fun.
