From Herefordshire Council:

Herefordshire Council is creating a new library at Maylord Orchards shopping centre and a redeveloped museum and art gallery in Hereford’s Broad Street.

Between them, the redevelopments will offer a huge range of events, exhibitions and digital interactions that will be accessible to all ages and abilities.

How would you share what they offer among other users, new and old? How would you keep regulars interested and entice new visitors to come and explore what’s on offer? The names of the new offerings are yet to be decided.

How would you capture the essence of these cultural and educational spaces in a single word or so?

We have three opportunities for you to join what promise to be very lively workshops on the branding and marketing of the new library, museum and art gallery.

The workshops are being run by the council’s library and museum teams. And they really want to hear your views. Here’s how you can join in to give us your thoughts:

Online

5.30pm, Wednesday 19 April – book online

In person

11am-12.30pm, Wednesday 3 May – for people who regularly use the library and/ or museum – book online

In person

5.30pm-6.30pm, Wednesday 3 May – for people who do not use or have not recently been to the library or museum – book online

All our workshops about the new library, museum and art gallery are free for everyone to attend.

Our plans

Plans for our new library and museum and art gallery are well advanced. The library at Maylord Orchards shopping centre is due to open in 2024 and the museum and art gallery is due to open in 2025 at its current site in Hereford’s Broad Street.

Help us make the new facilities to be the best they can be by joining one of our workshops.

Find out more about them and share your views at one of our workshops. We look forward to seeing you.
