Congratulations to Dormington resident Owain Denning on completing his self-set challenge of running 4 half marathons in 7 days!
Owain, who lives with the respiratory condition Cystic Fibrosis, ran more than 50 sweaty miles last week around the beautiful countryside close to his Herefordshire home to raise money for local arts centre, The Courtyard Hereford.
Having returned home from university to isolate with his parents before restrictions were imposed, Owain is using running as part of his physiotherapy to ease the strain regular hospital visits would put on the NHS.
‘A massive thank you to everyone who has supported my challenge and I’ve been amazed at the generosity!’ says Owain.
‘It’s great to know the donations are going to The Courtyard which does such amazing work providing a vast array of the arts for people across the county, including virtually now as well. I hope everyone stays safe, well and positive, remembering that we will get through this, however long it takes.’
Owain’s total currently stands just shy of £2,000.
