Cuppa and a Chat – Community Group:

We will be meeting on Monday 2nd June at The Plough Inn, Whitecross Road from 10-12 along with Ending Loneliness.

Come and join us for a free cuppa. Make new connections and help combat loneliness together.

We want to raise awareness of how much loneliness can impact ANYONE. Erase the stigma of reaching out. No matter your age, gender or race.

Everyone is welcome.

Monday 9th June – Sunday 15th June it is Loneliness Awareness Week. Reach out in your local community and see what’s out there. Spread the word or even pick up the phone to that friend you keep meaning to catch up with.

•Loneliness affects people of all ages. 16-29 year olds are twice as likely as those over 70 to experience loneliness.

•In total, 45% of adults feel occasionally, sometimes or often lonely in England. This equates to twenty-five million people.

•Two-fifths of all older people (about 3.9 million) say the television is their main company.

We can’t wait to see some new faces join us at The Plough Inn, on Monday 2nd June. A special thank you to the people who have given it a go and our returning members.
