Kingstone High School has been bursting with colour, kindness, and community spirit thanks to a heartwarming fundraising initiative led by two incredible teaching assistants – Brenda Roberts and Fiona Harry!
In honour of World Down Syndrome Day, staff and students stepped out in style, donning their brightest, most brilliantly mismatched socks to raise awareness and bring some cheer to the school corridors.
But the fun didn’t stop at the ankles! The school hosted a chocolate tombola with generous sweet treat donations pouring in from pupils and parents, plus an exciting staff raffle packed with prizes kindly gifted by local businesses.
Thanks to all the laughter, generosity, and good-natured competition, we’re thrilled to announce a whopping £1,279.44 was raised in support of 21 Plus, a fantastic local charity supporting children with Down Syndrome and their families.
“We’re absolutely blown away by the support,” said Brenda and Fiona. “it was community magic all for a brilliant cause!”
A heartfelt thank you goes out to the students, families, carers, staff, and local businesses whose generosity made this event such a sweet success. Your support means the world to us.
