Bromyard Folk Festival is thrilled to announce that it has successfully secured funding from the UK Government’s ‘Levelling-Up Fund’. This significant financial support, provided through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, will contribute towards the escalating costs of hiring marquee venues for this year’s festival.

The Bromyard Folk Festival, renowned for its dedication to nurturing, showcasing, and promoting traditional folk music and dance, has been a cornerstone of the community for over 50 years. The newly acquired funding is a vital lifeline that will help ensure the festival’s continuity and enhance its offerings.

“We are incredibly grateful for the support from the Levelling-Up Fund,” said Lynne Barker, Director. “This funding goes a long way in helping us cover the rising costs of our marquee venues, ensuring that we can continue to provide a platform for traditional folk music and dance. The festival has a rich history, and this support ensures that we can keep this tradition alive for future generations.”

This year’s festival boasts an impressive lineup, headlined by renowned acts such as Oysterband (on their farewell tour), Spiers & Boden, Fay Hield Trio, and Martin Simpson. With ticket sales already robust, the festival is set to be a memorable event for all attendees. Tickets are available now at www.bromyardfolkfestival.co.uk.

In addition to the success of the Bromyard Folk Festival bid, Herefordshire Council has also recently secured £19.9 million from the Levelling-Up Fund to support a comprehensive package of transport and active travel measures. This investment highlights the ongoing commitment to enhancing local infrastructure and community well-being.
