Local Quilters have been busy making ‘Huggle Quilts’ to send over to Ukraine.
Sewology in Broad Street has teamed up with quilting expert Jenny Kirton to host a series of workshops making patchwork quilts for those suffering in Ukraine.
Jenny is extremely talented and has offered her time to help make the project a success. The volunteers that attended have produced some fantastic patchwork quilts.
“We are extremely grateful for their help and dedication to a worthwhile cause. Thanks also to those that donated fabric, wadding and other materials – we really appreciated it.
“Finished quilts are being passed on to the Ukraine donation centre in Hereford. Everyone has been affected by the tragic events taking place in Ukraine and our thoughts are with those trying to cope in very difficult and uncertain times.”
