The Children’s Bookshelf in Hereford are attempting to try and make Ukrainian children’s move to Hereford a little more bearable by giving them a free £5 book voucher.
In a post shared on Facebook, The Children’s Bookshelf said:
“We have had the pleasure of meeting some lovely Ukrainian children and family’s this year either in the shop or at our school pop ups.
“Our heart goes out to them all and what they are going through.
“In an attempt to try and make their move to Hereford a little more bearable we have decided to give away a free £5 book voucher to all Ukrainian children who have recently been relocated to Herefordshire.
“If you work in a School (Primary/Secondary) or a Nursery, in Herefordshire, and have Ukrainian children who have recently started with you, please send us a private message to register for the free vouchers with the following information.”
(1) Name of your school/nursery
(2) Your name (Name of staff member from School/Nursery)
(3) How many children you have with you
(4) Their names and ages
“Once registered you will need to pop in and pick up the vouchers. (you need to register with us by the 31st of October).
“We have a list of names from our original post about this with schools and nurseries who have already enquired. We’ll be in touch with you in due course.”
