Wye Knot was founded in 2018 by Rosemary Sales.

The organisations mission is to ignite meaningful interactions between young and old.

Wye Knot offers a variety of programmes and services that promote intergenerational connection, well-being, and outdoor adventures.

Some specific examples include:

Playing Together, Herefordshire’s first intergenerational playgroup.

Intergenerational forest school projects.

Women’s wilderness adventures that combine river exploration with nature immersion.

Rosemary also delivers outdoor sessions around the world working with other community organisations.

Rosemary Sales is the director of Wye Knot and is passionate about connecting generations and empowering communities through nature. 

She has a background in activities leadership, movement therapy, forest schooling, paddling boarding & canoe coaching.

“In 2018, I founded the Wye Knot community to ignite meaningful interactions between young and old.

“My journey began as an activities director, igniting my dedication to enriching lives. 

“Earning my management diploma spurred me to create inclusive experiences across ages and settings. From pioneering intergenerational groups to leading movement therapy for seniors, I strive to make a difference.

“My proudest achievements include Playing Together, Herefordshire’s first intergenerational playgroup, co-creating WyldWood, a newspaper bridging generations during the pandemic, being part of the River Carnival and all my intergenerational forest school projects. 

“My love for the outdoors led me to become a Paddle Boarding and Forest School leader.

“Now, I guide women’s wilderness adventures, combining river exploration with nature immersion. Witnessing smiles upon faces fuels my passion.
