More information on Pumpkin Picking at The Pumpkin Patch in Herefordshire:
‘We are tremendously excited each year to welcome you to our farm.
‘We have been growing pumpkins since 2021, slowly increasing the acreage and varieties grown.
‘Our aim is to give anyone who comes to The Pumpkin Patch an unforgettable autumn experience. Whether its a family with young children, or a couple with their dog(s), all are welcome!
‘Unlike other PYO pumpkin businesses in the county of Herefordshire, we are free entry and there is no pre-booking required!
‘The reason for this, is that we open the farm yard and a large empty cattle shed on the farm for car parking. We also have a large field adjacent to the yard for 4×4 parking in case we get busy and need the extra space.
‘When you arrive you’ll be briefed by our meet and greet team, who will talk you through everything you need to know, whilst on the farm.
‘We offer a fleet of wheelbarrows to help lug your pumpkins from the field back to the yard.
‘We invite pop up food and drink stalls every year to join us when we are open to keep you well fed and refreshed, ready for Pumpkin picking.
‘These vary each season so please keep an eye on our social media for who is coming when.
‘Previous visiting pop ups include: The Beefy Boys, The Pizza Box, The Rein Inn, Divine Donuts, Mac Daddies, Field to Fork Pizza, Big Smoke BBQ, Happy Fudge.
‘Alongside picking pumpkins, we like to offer other means to keep little ones entertained whilst they are here.
‘Every year we organise a Halloween themed ‘Scavenger Hunt’ with new monsters and ghouls to find each year! We encourage all to come pumpkin picking in fancy dress, especially the closer we get to Halloween!
‘We also have play-barn set aside for pedal tractors and giant versions of Jenga and Connect Four in case children (or big kids) what a change of scene!
‘As we are a working farm, we also have animals present, including our own sheep and pigs. We believe it is so important for children today to understand what farms are and what farmers do.
‘People have lost their relationship with the countryside and where their food comes from.
‘Therefore we love welcoming people to a ‘working’ farm so they can better understand a part of agriculture and rural affairs.
‘We cant wait to welcome you to The Patch.’

“What a lovely, friendly place to go! We came from Newport to Hereford to see my daughter and wanted to spend time together. We decided to come here and we had a lovely time. Staff friendly & helpful. Option to eat with a sit down area. Well worth the visit. 100% recommended! Well done to everyone who works here! “
