Quite often, many people look to travel hundreds of miles for a peaceful break away from the reality of day to day life, but sometimes, beauty and tranquillity are on your doorstep.

In Herefordshire, Kingfisher Meadow Camping and Caravanning Park is a perfect example of this.

Located near Bodenham, and easily navigable from Leominster, Hereford and Ledbury, it’s in a great location if you just decide to take a couple of nights away from home.

Kingfisher Meadow Camping and Caravanning Park, is a simple and laidback site just outside Bodenham in the Herefordshire countryside.

Hereford City centre is a 15-minute drive from here, with the A417 a handy two-minute drive if you’re looking to get out and about further afield.

All is brilliantly set up to help you make the most of peaceful outdoor life – there’s a sizeable pond on site for wildlife-watching and sunset-spotting, and the whole place is surrounded by quiet fields and farmland.

There’s also opportunity for strolling and cycling nearby, with dogs also welcome to visit.

Barbecues and campfires are allowed on site, with firepits available to hire and logs to buy.

On Saturday nights there’s a special campfire evening to bring the whole community together, where one and all are invited to gather round a big blaze for a sociable evening by the flames.

For non-self-cooked meals, there are also a couple of country inns within a 10-minute drive, plus supermarkets over in Leominster (15 minutes).
