Matt and Stefan from Your Herefordshire have been hearing some fantastic things about the Newton Farm Community Hub and we went to visit them yesterday (Tuesday) to see what they are up to!
Matt met Esther Griffiths (Shop Manager) who showed us around the hub and you can see a video interview with Esther below.
The centre is open on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday every week from 9.30am to 2.30pm and welcomes people from across the city of Hereford to pop in and have a chat, with support available if residents need it.
Residents can get support with computer skills, job searches, reading and much more. There is also a mums club and benefit advice is also available to those requiring it.
The Newton Farm Community Hub also has a shop, with donations from members of the public being sold at affordable prices, meaning that local residents who may be struggling financially can pick up some brilliant bargains, including school uniforms, toys, books, household items and plenty more!
You can find the Newton Farm Community Hub at The Oval in Hereford. It’s located next to The Mermaid Fish & Chip Shop at the back of The Oval, opposite the bus stop!
Pop in and see the friendly team and if you fancy volunteering, please get in contact with them!
