In a twist on the timeless classic, “A Christmas Carol,” audiences are invited to experience the magic of Charles Dickens’ tale like never before in the heart of Hereford.
Ebenezer Scrooge, the infamous tight-fisted miser, takes centre stage in a hauntingly beautiful promenade production, adapted by Mr. Ben Abbott. Spectators will be transported to Victorian London as the story unfolds across the School site and Cathedral Close.
This immersive experience will offer a fresh perspective on the beloved story, taking us back to the Christmas Eve night that tested the limits of Scrooge’s life and beliefs.
Directors Mr Ben Abbott and Mr Leighton Martin are looking forward to welcoming audiences to three promenade performances each evening from the 3rd to 5th December:
“The pupils have been working hard to bring to life the vivid world of Dickensian London, and to ensure the great narrative journey of the novel is echoed in the physical journey we take around the Cathedral Close.
“We can’t imagine a more perfect way to begin the festive season, and the pupils are looking forward to telling the (second) greatest story ever told!”.
