The subject property is located in a primarily residential area close to Hereford city centre.

Specifically the property is circa 1 mile due north of the main city with access directly off Venns Lane, which itself immediately adjoins the busy A465 (main road from Hereford city to Worcester).

As referenced, in the immediate vicinity there are a number of residential dwellings, however it does sit immediately next door to the Nuffield Health care facility, with another commercial premises situated opposite being Churchill House and the open space known as Churchill Gardens.

The site overall comprises a large plot extending to circa 2 acres with multiple structures, the most prominent of which is Elmhurst itself, which is a grade II listed, former residential premises currently with planning consent for use as a retirement home, dating back to the 18th Century.

The main premises itself is set over 3 floors, being ground, first and basement; within those there are a number of period features still present, as well as an attractive semi-wraparound porch externally.

There are large windows at both ground and first floor level allowing for an abundance of natural light, with French doors present at ground floor level opening up to the east.

At the rear of the main building is a 2-storey red- brick extension believed to date from the 1980s.

This section appears designed around retirement use given the amount of individual bedrooms at first floor level.

There are internal links back to the main building at both ground and first floor level.

The entire property is in poor condition throughout, with water damage clear to see as well as unstable floors, broken windows and a collapsed ceiling.

On the northern side of the site are a former Coach House, a linked detached storage area and a double garage.

The Coach House is an attractive property, with the original stable block still present at ground floor level and a staircase leading to what was most recently a first floor flat.

The flat at this point is not habitable, with a number of broken windows, unstable floors and a collapsed ceiling in one room.

The link attached external storage building currently houses a generator while the double garage immediately next door is used for storage.

Work begins on transformation of historic school ahead of its reopening in September with state-of-the-art facilities.

Work has begun to restore the beloved former St Michaels College, in Tenbury Wells, Worcestershire. The historic educational institution was originally built as a boys’ music school in 1856 by Oxford University Professor, Sir Frederick Ouseley.

After more than a decade of challenges, including closures, the school is ready to embark on a new chapter with an extensive refurbishment that will preserve its rich heritage while embracing modern educational practices.

The school is due to reopen as St Michael Abbey School in September this year. The new school will feature state-of-the-art facilities and contemporary study spaces designed to inspire and support today’s students.

The plans include:

Modern classrooms: Equipped with advanced technology and flexible furniture arrangements that facilitate collaborative learning and creativity.

Specialised learning spaces: Dedicated spaces for science, arts and technology that provide students with hands-on learning experiences.

Communal spaces: A newly designed library, recreation area, and multi-purpose hall that promote community engagement and foster a sense of belonging among students and families.

Outdoor learning zones: Enhancements to the school’s grounds, including gardens and outdoor sports facilities, to encourage environmental education and outdoor activities.

The refurbishment reflects St Michael Abbey School’s commitment to providing a safe, nurturing and innovative environment for all students. The school aims to blend its historic charm with modern functionality, creating a unique educational experience that prepares students for future success.

Robert Ford, Founding Headteacher of St Michael Abbey School said “This unique and innovative school will combine the best of British education with that of international education, making sure we have a model for young people to be skilled and qualified for this decade and the next, to face the challenges and opportunities of the future with confidence. As a Shropshire boy and someone with family across the Marches counties, mid Wales and the West Midlands, this really feels likes coming home and I am extremely proud to the Founding Headteacher of a school with a proud past and a bright future.”

Applications for the new academic year will open soon, welcoming prospective students and families to visit the new facilities and meet with staff.

Plans for an indoor racing track, play area, scooter track and cafe in Herefordshire!

A brand new indoor racing track, play area and scooter track could be coming to Herefordshire, if a suitable venue can be found.

Here is the social media post shared by Dale Lewis:

Exciting Opportunity – Can You Help?

Good morning, you lovely people!

I’m currently in talks to launch an indoor racing track in or around Herefordshire, and I have all the backing in place for this exciting new venture.

The only thing I’m struggling with is finding the right venue—I need a huge warehouse or a couple of large barns to bring this vision to life.

Do you, or anyone you know, have access to a space that could work? If so, please get in touch!

This isn’t just about the race track—plans also include:

Indoor Racing Track
Indoor Play Area
Outdoor Scooter Track
Café & Bar

Please share this post and help spread the word so we can make this happen for Herefordshire!

As I always say: big things, big business, big dreams—it can and will be done!

Let’s make it happen!

Famous television star to visit Hereford in March and you have the chance to meet them.

A famous television star is to visit Hereford in March, with people having the chance to meet them!

Mathew Horne, who plays Gavin, in the iconic television series Gavin & Stacey, will be visiting Trilogy Nightclub in Hereford on Saturday 29th March.

Tickets are available now, by visiting – https://trilogyhereford.com/events-tickets/

Tom from Hogarths said:

“We are thrilled to welcome Mathew Horne from the iconic television series Gavin & Stacey to Hereford.

“This event will undoubtedly sellout quickly so please do get your tickets to guarantee your place.

“Trilogy has gone from strength to strength since we bought it last year off a national operator. Seeing the site back in the loving fold of local ownership is what it needed for a long time. Our other bar, Hogarths provides the pre party and the ultimate corridor to Trilogy.

“We pride ourselves on being a safe place and night out between the two venues, and being able to cater and provide for all ages and demographics is very important these days in hospitality, we don’t want anyone to feel ‘old’ and actively encourage and welcome people of all ages to both Trilogy and Hogarths.

“We also own the Botanic Bar, this is in the front of the building and is a totally separate entity to Trilogy, here we specialise in mouthwatering cocktails, good quality craft beers, and have a good selection of locally produced Herefordshire spirits.

“We are continuing to reinvest in both Trilogy and Botanic, with new male toilets completed last month, a few tweaks to actual club rooms themselves, and a planned beer garden overhaul in time for summer, these works will be done with no disruption to the business and we are using local contractors.

“We are committed to our City and aim to exceed the customer experience and expectations whilst ensuring a safe and great night out.

“I don’t hide behind emails or managers, if anyone wants to talk to me, you’ll find me at either Hogarths, Botanic or Trilogy, and always welcome feedback, good or bad.”
