PureGym in Hereford welcomed a film crew from Wantage this week.  Walfinch, a home care franchise headquartered in Wantage, Oxfordshire was filming for a new podcast and YouTube fitness tips series called Wellness With Walfinch and chose PureGym in Hereford as the venue to interview Britian’s Strongest Disabled Woman, Louise Greer and locally based International Event Rider, Louise Harwood.

Amrit Dhaliwal, CEO, Walfinch who is known as ‘The Walking CEO’ for his walking meetings and podcasts confirmed:  “The team at PureGym in Hereford we incredibly helpful.  The facilities were perfect and we were made to feel very welcome in the dedicated studio area, while gym members continued with their work outs and classes in the background.

“PureGym in Hereford has a great vibe and energy, and it’s so convenient with free parking right outside the door.  We couldn’t have picked a better venue for our filming session in Hereford.”

Liam James, General Manager, PureGym Hereford commented: “Just like PureGym, Walfinch home care is a franchise too, so we loved the link-up and meeting people so passionate about running their business.  It’s not every day that a film crew comes to Hereford, so it was great fun all round and we look forward to seeing the finished videos soon!”

Amrit Dhaliwal continues: “The filming was for Wellness With Walfinch: a campaign to bring more accessible activity and mobility to our home care clients, their families, carers and communities across the UK.  Care should be about thriving, not just surviving and our rallying cry is, ‘Time to Thrive’, because good care is about improving lives.

“Louise Greer who is a personal trainer with Amped Up Performance and also an employee at PureGym in Gloucester holds the title of Britain’s Strongest Disabled Woman.  It was an honour to meet Louise as she shared her fitness and exercise tips for the filming.

“We also interviewed Herefordshire based international event rider Louise Harwood who demonstrated some seated exercises which anyone can join in with.  As a fit ball instructor she was also able to share some more advanced exercises focusing on strength, range of movement and balance all using a ball.

“We hope our free YouTube videos featuring fitness professionals demonstrating straight forward exercises, some of which are especially tailored for older people, will help inspire more activity and mobility and contribute to improving lives even in a small way.”
