An 80-year-old woman from Herefordshire is to take on Europe’s longest zip line, to raise money for St Michael’s Hospice.
Here is Fiona’s story:
“Hello everyone, I have always wanted to do a zip line but have never had the courage until now, so I thought I would do Velocity in North Wales over Penhyn Quarry, which is the biggest in the UK and Europe’s longest!
“I have just turned 80 and recently had a mini stroke, so l felt this is the time to face my fears and try and raise some money for somewhere very dear to my and a lot of people in Herefordshire’s hearts.
“It is vital that everyone that needs it has the appropriate care and support they need to cope with a terminal illness and St Michael’s Hospice is vital to the people of Herefordshire.
“Any donation to this extremely worthy cause will be gratefully received.
“Many thanks Fiona.”
