Hereford Paramedics, Samantha Huckstep and Sean Bennett put on a spread of sweet treats at Hereford Hub in an effort to raise funds for six-year-old Reggie Littleton.

Sam and Sean met Reggie and his parents during a transfer while on a night shift, and learned how the six-year-old boy has been diagnosed with a rare cancer, Rhabdomyosarcoma, which only 60-children in the UK are diagnosed with each year.

The crew were touched by Reggie’s story and wanted to do anything they could to help him and his family, so they got baking to raise funds for the family to support them through the challenges they have ahead of them during Reggie’s treatment.

The pair were able to raise nearly £300 on the day, with donations still coming in over the days afterwards from colleagues wanting to support Sam and Sean in their efforts to help the family.

Sam said: “We’re so grateful of everyone who came along on the day and bought one of our cakes, we’re thrilled to be able to donate the money to the Littleton family and to have been able to do something to help them while they support Reggie throughout his treatment.

Thank you so much to everyone who was able to donate. If you unfortunately missed the cake sale, but still want to donate you can do so here.
