Children across Herefordshire had fun over the weekend when the Easter Bunny turned up on their doorsteps!
The fundraising event was organised by Kieran Joyce’s Memorial Fund – cardiac risk in the young and the money raised will go towards the charity.
The Kieran Joyce Memorial Fund was set up after 15-year-old Kieran suddenly died.
He was a fit and healthy young man who just fell asleep and never woke up his parents said on the fundraising page.
“Losing Kieran has turned our lives upside down and we do not want another local family to experience the pain of losing their son or daughter, when it could be prevented if detected with a heart screening.
“The purpose of this page is not only to inform and create awareness but to raise money in Kieran’s memory, to facilitate the vital screening needed to help avert cases of young sudden cardiac death.
“We have started a memorial fund in Kieran’s name with CRY. For every £5,000 we raise we can book a screening team to come to Hereford for a day and screen 100 of our young adults.
“We will be sharing fundraising events and screening updates on this page regularly.”
