Last Friday (1st May) the staff and residents of Holmer Court Residential Home took on the challenge of a sponsored walk (around the garden) to raise funds for West Mercia Women’s Aid.
Of the 33 residents living with dementia, 24 did at least one lap of the garden, and had a great time doing it!
Susan Glynn, on behalf of Holmer Court said, “Although we are living through difficult times for both the residents and staff, we realise that we have many things to celebrate like love and friendship.
” We wanted something positive to concentrate on and so did a sponsored walk around the garden for those that don’t have the support that we do.”
