A pair of friends who annually raise funds for child-loss charities are appealing for help from local businesses to support Hereford Hospital’s Born Sleeping Appeal.

The Born Sleeping Appeal was launched in December 2017 to build a new unit for grieving parents.

The Appeal, which Your Herefordshire are proud to have supported since its launch in 2017, is raising money to build a separate facility to allow grieving parents a quiet place, away from the maternity unit. Currently parents who have lost their baby are treated alongside expectant families, which can add to the heartbreak of their loss. (See more about the appeal here)
Lily Morgan, and good friend Laura Ding-Edwards, hold fundraising events each year to raise money and awareness for child-loss charities in memory of Lily’s baby daughter Phoebe, who passed away aged just 5 months old from a rare condition know as Ebsteins Anomaly.

“Butterflies for Phoebe” events have raised thousands of pounds for charity over the last few years, supported by some incredible local businesses. This year’s event, a 1950’s themed Prom to be held in October, is sponsored by local company Powell & Co Ltd but still needs raffle prize donations from local businesses.

This year’s event is a 1950s style prom

If you are able to donate a prize for the raffle, no matter how small, please contact Lily or Laura via the Butterflies for Phoebe Facebook page.
