A local firm has been awarded a contract of up to £201,000 for Refurbishment and Damp Proofing Works at Maylord Orchards Shopping Centre in Hereford.
Council documents reveal the following decision has been made:
‘Award a contract to S.C. Joseph Ltd for the Refurbishment and Damp Proofing Works at the former Shopmobility, Maylord Orchards Shopping Centre, Hereford, following a successful tender on the Council’s procurement portal.
‘Approve the expenditure of up to £192,755.04 for the works, which includes a contingency of up to £17,523.19
‘Approve the expenditure of up to £8,761.59 for internal and external professional fees.
‘Responsibility for monitoring the programme to be carried out by the Capital Project Manager within the spend budget.’
Herefordshire Council state that it could cost the council further money in the future, and also health and safety issues if the work wasn’t to be carried out.
