A popular Leominster shop has taken the decision to close its doors, blaming roadworks in the town for a significant fall in footfall.
Melon and Co, based on West Street in Leominster posted the following update on social media this morning.
“Sad News Alert – Morning everyone.
“As you all know, we have a bricks and mortar shop in little old Leominster, which has been open for 13 years!
“It’s been a significant part of our business and we have all loved serving you from here.
“However, due to the roadworks that have all but killed the town over the last year, causing a massive drop in footfall, we have taken the sad decision to close the shop.
“We will still be taking your orders as normal online, however, Chris has taken this opportunity to move his family to Cornwall to work from his home and I (Charlotte) will be working from my home!
“Nothing much will change for the onliners, but those that shop in person, you really need to come and get those Christmas orders in ASAP before we close.
“We will be closed week of 28th for a family holiday, but we will open again after that for the rest of November.
“Thank you to each and every one of you that has shopped with us over the last 13 years, you have been an absolute joy.
“Love from Charlotte, Chris, Sue and Graham.”
