Herefordshire-based Leaven Pizza had a hugely successful night at this year’s prestigious Italian Awards, celebrating the crème de la crème of Italian food purveyors across the UK.
The popular pizza restaurant was named as a finalist in no less than six categories and proudly took home four major accolades.
Leaven was highly commended in the sought-after Best Pizzeria category for the second consecutive year, solidifying its place amongst the finestItalian restaurants in the UK.
In addition to this achievement, Leaven was also highly commended in the following categories: Best Team, Best Pizza, and Best Restaurant in the Midlands—a testament to the restaurant’s commitment to quality, innovation, and exceptional customer service.
A firm favourite amongst locals, it’s no wonder the delicious freshly made sour dough pizza, created on site daily, is now officially award winning!
The casual pizza restaurant, located in the heart of Hereford,is owned by A Rule of Tum (ART), who also own other Hereford and Worcester foodie hot spots, The Burger Shopand The Bookshop amongst others.

The Italian Awards, often referred to as the “Oscars of Italian cuisine,” is a glamorous event that celebrates the very best in the industry. This year’s awards ceremony took place on October 6th and was hosted by celebrity chef Aldo Zilli, a renowned figure in the culinary world, who brought an extra touch of prestige to the occasion.
Other notable moments from the night included the Lifetime Achievement Award presented to Marco Pierre White, a legendary figure in the restaurant world.
