Illuminate 2024: Experience the magic of Christmas at Croft Castle’s enchanting winter lights show
Make your Christmas magical with Illuminate 2024, an after-dark winter lights show that promises to enchant visitors of all ages.
For eight nights only, witness the historic Croft Castle and its gardens transformed into a winter wonderland, offering a spectacular display of lights and festive activities.
Stroll through the beautifully lit castle grounds, gardens, gothic arch, and church, and marvel at the ancient trees adorned with sparkling lights.
Enjoy a unique opportunity to step inside the castle after dark to see it dressed in its Christmas finest, all while soaking in a warm and festive atmosphere.
Each evening will feature different performers and caterers, ensuring a unique experience every time. Highlights include fire performances, live music, interactive storytelling, glow games, and face painting. Caterers include The Yorkshire Wrap, Origin Pizza, The Van Waffle Company, and festive treats from Croft’s tea-room. See our website to find out who’s providing delicious food on each evening.

Illuminate 2024 will run from 6pm to 9pm on the following dates:
- Friday, November 22
- Saturday, November 23
- Thursday, November 28
- Friday, November 29
- Saturday, November 30
- Thursday, December 5
- Friday, December 6
- Saturday, December 7
Ticket Information
Tickets are selling fast. Booking for a timed ticket slot is essential. Tickets are priced at £6 per adult and £3 per child (plus normal admission fees). Children under 5 can attend for free. Please note that tickets are non-refundable and cannot be amended once purchased.
Useful Information
- Event tickets apply to all visitors, including National Trust members.
- Normal admission fees apply in addition to the event ticket and can be paid on arrival or present your National Trust membership card.
- Separate admission charges apply for daytime and Illuminate events.
- Croft Castle will be closed from 4pm to 5:30pm for setup. Daytime visitors must leave by 4pm and return during their evening ticket time slot.
