Avara has confirmed that 100 of its staff in Herefordshire have tested positive for the virus since the start of the pandemic but that only one of those positive tests occurred in the past month according to BBC Hereford & Worcester.
The company has heavily invested in PPE and other measures to ensure that workers remain safe when on site. The company employs just over 2,500 workers in the county, meaning that 1 in 25 have tested positive for the virus since the start of the pandemic.
Concerns had been raised by members of the public about a significant outbreak at the Hereford based factory but this appears to be false based on this information.
