Tesco is recalling packs of its Tesco Finest Caesar & Smoked Bacon Coleslawbecause some may contain a different product containing mustard that is not declared on the label.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has issued an Allergy Alert over the recall, warning that the affected product could pose a health risk to people with an allergy to mustard.

The affected product is:

  • Product: Tesco Finest Caesar & Smoked Bacon Coleslaw
  • Pack size: 270g
  • Use-by date: 4 September 2026
  • Allergen: Mustard

The affected packs may contain Tesco Finest Four Cheese Potato Salad, which contains mustard.

Tesco is advising anyone with a mustard allergy who has bought the product not to eat it. Customers can return the product to any Tesco store for a full refund.

The supermarket has contacted relevant allergy support organisations and issued notices to customers explaining the reason for the recall and what they should do if they have purchased the product.

The FSA says food products can be withdrawn or recalled when there is a risk to consumers, including when allergen information is missing or incorrect. Where there is a food allergy risk, the agency issues an Allergy Alert.

The recall is listed by the FSA as FSA-AA-42-2026.
