A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after an investigation was launched following the death of a man in Worcester.
On Tuesday (1 September) officers were called to an address on Wylds Lane in Worcester shortly after 9pm following reports that a man had been found with life threatening injuries.
The man, who we believe to be 42-year-old Damian Buczek, was taken to hospital where despite the best efforts of medical staff, sadly died.
On Thursday evening (3 September) officers have arrested 46-year-old man on suspicion of murder in relation to Damian’s death. He remains in police custody as enquiries continue.
Detective Chief Inspector Gareth Lougher, from the Major Investigations Unit, said: “Our investigation continues to move at pace, and tonight we have arrested a 46-year-old man in connection with Damian’s death.
“We understand that an incident of this nature will cause concern within the local community, and I would continue to appeal to anyone who may have information that could assist our investigation to come forward.
“In particular, we would like to hear from anyone who saw Damian between Monday 31 August and Tuesday 1 September. If you were in the Wylds Lane area during this period and have CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage which may assist our enquiries, please review it and contact police if you have anything that could be relevant.”
