Police investigate disorder following incident at Llanidloes pub event.
Police are investigating an incident of disorder following an event at The Red Lion Hotel in Llanidloes in Powys on Saturday night.
In a statement shared on social media, the pub said an event aimed at bringing people into the town and supporting the local nightlife was disrupted by a fight involving several individuals.
The venue said staff and customers were put at risk during the incident and confirmed that CCTV footage has been secured, names of those believed to be involved have been passed to police, and an investigation is underway.
The Red Lion Hotel also announced that it has re-established the town’s BOBB (Barred from One, Barred from All) scheme, under which individuals banned from one participating licensed premises may also be refused entry to others.
The pub criticised those involved, saying violent behaviour damages local businesses at a time when the hospitality sector is already facing significant challenges. It also urged people to remember the potentially devastating consequences of a single punch.
In an update to its original post, the venue appealed for witnesses to come forward, stating that several people were injured during the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact the pub via its social media channels to assist with its enquiries.
It is understood police have been informed. Anyone with information can also contact Dyfed-Powys Police.
