Police are appealing for witnesses after a man died in a collision on the A4137 in Herefordshire yesterday (Tuesday 9 June).

The collision happened around 6.30pm and involved a Scania lorry and a Mitsubishi L200 between St Owens Cross and Marstow.

Despite the efforts of emergency services, the driver of the Mitsubishi, a man in his 60s, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers are keen to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision, as well as anyone who may have dashcam footage from the time of the incident or the moments leading up to it.

The Midlands Air Ambulance has also released a statement following the collision.

One man has died following a road traffic collision in Glewstone yesterday evening (Tuesday).

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the A4137 in Glewstone at 6.27pm and sent two ambulances, a paramedic officer, the Midlands Air Ambulance and two BASICS emergency doctors to the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Upon arrival, ambulance staff discovered a man who was the driver of a car, which had been involved in a collision with a HGV.

“Following assessment having been found to be in a critical condition, ambulance staff quickly began administering advanced life support.

“Unfortunately, despite their best efforts it became clear that nothing more could be done to save him and he was confirmed deceased at the scene.

“The driver of the HGV did not require treatment.”
