Thousands of people were forced to evacuate the Birmingham Utilita Arena this evening — following a security concern at a Peter Kay show.
Members of the crowd reported seeing Peter Kay bundled off stage — before they were advised to exit the arena.
Police confirmed that a man had been arrested following a security concern.
An update from West Midlands Police said:
We are carrying out an evacuation at the Utilita Arena in Birmingham after a potential suspicious bag was found.
A 19-year-old man is in custody and as a precaution the site is currently subject of a search.
We will provide further updates when we can.
