Gloucestershire Constabulary have issued an important message to anyone attending the Cheltenham Festival this week.
From Gloucestershire Constabulary:
Are you heading to the Cheltenham Races next week?
Our officers will be there keeping you safe throughout the event- from security checks when you arrive, to regular patrols by armed officers and our dog teams.
The roads around Cheltenham Racecourse are likely to be busy, so please plan ahead and allow plenty of time for your journey.
We’d like to remind everyone that there’s a restricted airspace around Cheltenham Racecourse for the safety of jockeys, their horses and racegoers. Anyone who breaches the legislation in relation to drones could face prosecution.
If you’re coming to the event, please do come and say hello to our officers – and if you see anything suspicious or something that doesn’t feel right, please report it to us or a member of security staff.
