Hereford Racecourse hosts its latest card of the Jumps season on Saturday with a competitive seven-race card on offer for punters heading to the track.
Racing gets underway at 1.42pm with a handicap hurdle for conditional jockeys over the three miles and a furlong trip before coming to a close at 5.12pm as a field of 14 tackle the two-mile bumper.

Up first is the conditional jockeys’ handicap hurdle at 1.42 and Welcheston Warrior looks the way to go in the opener for the Clive Boultbee-Brooks yard, yet to win in his career but has looked solid in his last two outings, including a second at Lingfield last month, so is taken to go one better and pick up a belated win.
A good field of 14 will take on the two mile and three furlong maiden hurdle to mark race two on the Hereford card (2.12). Chasing Glance is the selection in this one, a point-to-point winner previously and a good second at Warwick on his last spin so should have very solid claims this time.
The Joe Tizzard-trained Western General looks the way to go in the four-runner handicap chase, race three at Hereford (2.52) and win this contest for a second year on the spin, having also won last time out 14 days ago at Chepstow so is likely to prove very tough to see off here.
Race four on the Hereford card (3.25) sees 11 runners line up for the class five handicap hurdle over the two miles and three furlongs trip. Nigel and Willy Twiston-Davies hold a decent hand here with Hey Flint, a handicap newcomer who should thrive over a longer distance having started over hurdles as huge longshots. By The Grace rates the next best in this one, fourth at Southwell last time out.
A first chase success could be on the cards for the Nicky Henderson-trained Bective Abbey in race five (4.02) with top jockey James Bowen booked for the ride. The eight-year-old has been a runner up on all three starts over fences and the last second’s form has been franked so this comes at a great time.
The penultimate race of Saturday’s card at Hereford is at 4.37 and eight runners will tackle the class five handicap hurdle, with the nod going to Granny Hawkins for the Alan King yard, a winner over course and distance in November after a four-month absence and is backed to go in again.
Finally, the card comes to a close at 5.12 with a 14-runner bumper in class five over two miles and preference in the finale heads the way of One Dimensional, who is taken to be anything but that for the Max Comley yard as she sets the standard here off the back of a good second at Ascot last time out.
