Officers are investigating a serious assault, which took place on Elgar Avenue and Martin Close in Malvern last night (Thursday 26 February).
Police were called at around 9.20pm to reports that a man, in his 50s, had sustained a head injury. He was taken to hospital for treatment, and is currently stable and conscious.
A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
Detective Inspector Ben Pearson said: “We believe we have identified one of the suspects, involved in this assault, and that he is known to the victim.
“We are carrying out a number of enquiries to locate the other suspects, and we are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have doorbell or dashcam footage to support our investigation. Our communities can expect to see an increased police presence in the area.”
