Police are appealing for witnesses to a fatal collision in Belbroughton yesterday afternoon (Sunday 7 December).
Around 4:50pm, at the junction of Quantry Lane and Heath End Road, a white Citroen C3 and red Honda Jazz collided.
Despite the best efforts of emergency services, a woman in her 70s, who was a passenger in one of the vehicles involved, was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene.
One man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital with serious injuries.
A 29-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, causing serious injury by dangerous driving, driving under the influence of drugs and driving whilst disqualified.
Officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision and from drivers who have dashcam footage from around the time it happened.
