A body has been found in the search for a man who entered the River Severn near Gloucester Docks this morning (Thursday 20 November).
Police were called at around 10.20am with a report that a man had entered the water near the Old Prison and not resurfaced.
Officers were supported by the National Police Air Service and Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service in the search for the man, and a body has now been recovered from the river near Hempsted.
Formal identification has not yet taken place. The death is not being treated as suspicious at this time.
