There is a significant emergency services response to an incident in Leominster this morning, where a bin lorry has crashed into a building.
The incident has occurred at the junction of Mill Street and Bridge Street. Both roads are currently closed.
West Mercia Police, West Midlands Ambulance Service and Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service are all at the scene.
The Air Ambulance is also in attendance.
A spokesperson for Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service told Your Herefordshire:
“Four Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews – two from Hereford and one each from Leominster andt Tenbury Wells Fire Stations – were called at 06:44 on 11 November to an RTC into a building in Bridge Street, Leominster. Police and Ambulance are also in attendance. The incident is ongoing.”
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said:
“Emergency services are currently responding to an incident on Mill Street in Leominster after a bin lorry collided with a house at around 6.40am this morning (Tuesday 11 November).
“The road is currently closed, and we are asking people to avoid the area for the time being.”
