Meg, Aimee and Matty are taking part in the Cardiff Half Marathon in October to raise vital funds for Breast Cancer Now – a cause especially close to their hearts.
The trio have told us more
“This cause has deep personal meaning for us all. Tammy (Meg & Beth’s mum) — was diagnosed with breast cancer in July 2024. Since her diagnosis, she has shown incredible bravery while undergoing chemotherapy, surgery and radiotherapy. Tammy and her family remain eternally grateful for the support she has received from her care team, friends, work colleagues and loved ones throughout this time.
As part of their fundraising journey, Meg, Aimee and Matty — alongside Tammy, Ian and Beth — hosted a hugely successful charity event last weekend, working hand-in-hand with local businesses, friends and family. The day saw:
- Over 1,050 raffle tickets sold
- More than 90 cakes donated
- 25+ raffle prizes kindly gifted
- More than 100 people attending in support
Thanks to the generosity of supporters, over £1,300 was raised through raffle and cake donations alone. This charity event showed true community spirit, with the kindness of raffle prize donors and cake bakers helping to make it such a success.
We would like to share –
This event is a way for us to stand with Tammy and others affected by breast cancer — and indeed all forms of cancer. We are overwhelmed by the kindness and support shown so far and are excited to continue our fundraising journey ahead of the Cardiff Half.
We would also like to give a special thank you to The Tipsy Cat for hosting the event, MegSkiv Skingsfor providing live music, Fabulously Free From for their wonderful cake donations, and to every local business, friend and family member who contributed to make the charity event so successful and memorable.
There is still time to donate through there Just Giving Pages ahead of the Half Marathon in October
Thank you all so much 💕💕
