Welsh Water has issued an important message to hundreds of households in Ledbury, following a large fire this evening.
The fire has occurred on Ledbury Industrial Estate, with several crews from Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service and Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service in attendance.
West Mercia Police also at the scene. Welsh Water teams have also been seen in the area.
A spokesperson for Welsh Water said:
“We’re aware that customers in this area may have no water, low pressure or discolouration.
“We expect all supplies to be fully restored later tonight.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
A spokesperson for Ledbury Fire Station said earlier:
“We are currently dealing with an ongoing incident in the Lower Road Trading Estate area.
“As a precaution, we are advising local residents to keep windows and doors closed and to avoid the area where possible.
“This is to ensure your safety while crews continue to manage the situation.
“Please do not call 999 for updates.
“Thank you for your cooperation and support.”
