Several fire crews have been called to a fire in Hereford this afternoon.
The fire has occurred in the Canal Road area of the city.
Several Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews are at the scene. West Mercia Police are also helping to manage the incident.
A spokesperson for Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service told Your Herefordshire:
“Five Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service crews – three from Hereford, including a Service Land Rover, and one each from Fownhope and Ewyas Harold Fire Stations – were called at 12:26 on 5 September to a fire in the open in Canal Road, Hereford. The incident is ongoing.”
The nearby St David’s Centre has been forced to close.
“St David’s Centre has had to close this afternoon due to an ongoing fire related incident on neighboring land.”
